Welcome to the 2009-2010 season. I look forward to another happy and eventful year.
The greens are a picture and I wish to thank Graeme and his willing band of workers for all their efforts during the off season. We never have enough helpers and should you wish to participate whether outside or in, let us know.
Difficult times are ahead with strategic plans being devised to ensure the club goes forward. The loss of gaming machines means we have to look at other means to cover the loss of revenue. Any ideas you may have to assist will be appreciated. Your support of all our sponsors will ensure that they know they have spent their money wisely and give them a reason to continue their association with Bowls Napier.
Our previous year's executive plan was successful. A goodly number of new playing members will be showing their abilities on the greens and a big increase in social membership has already ensured increased income from events held. Napier South Football Club has taken up residence in our building. Their enthusiastic after match appearances during the football season is appreciated. Their members are fitting in well and I'm sure they are enjoying our company. There must be bowls after soccer.
It is now up to you to make this season a success for yourselves and the club.
